Scholar Spotlight: Himani Nadgauda
Meet 🤝 Himani Nadgauda, PracticePro Law School Mastery Scholar – University of Michigan Law School, Class of 2023.
Question: Do you have any prior work experience?
Himani: I have worked as a patent agent where I helped inventors protect and patent their innovations. I also worked for the ACLU of Northern California doing criminal justice and voting rights work.
Question: What is your favorite book?
Himani: Mindset by Carol Dweck. I love the message of the book which is to treat difficult problems as opportunities to learn something new. The most fulfilling things I've done, in both my academic and professional life, are working on unsolved challenges. In those times, I practiced a growth mindset, which Carol Dweck details in her book. Law school has been no different as I learn and improve my legal writing and analytical skills.
Question: What do you do for fun?
Himani: I enjoy lifting weights at the gym. When I first started, I found it empowering to not have to ask for help when lifting my bags at the airport. Now, I use it as a fun way to relax and stay active in any kind of weather.
