Question: What inspired you to pursue a legal career?
Angel: My personal experiences growing up in a low-income community inspired me to pursue a legal career. It inspired me to use my personal experiences, legal education, and skills to make a positive impact in people’s lives, organizations, and communities.
Question: Where are you working this summer?
Angel: This summer, I'm excited to join US Energy Development Corporation as a legal intern.
Question: What do you do for fun?
Angel: I love playing soccer and creating travel videos!
Question: What's your favorite book or quote, and why?
Angel: One of my favorite quotes comes from George Bernard Shaw who noted: "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
A lot of people are taught to be logical and practical. Some goals, however, cannot be attained by thinking logically and practically. This quote serves as a reminder that it is not only okay to be unreasonable, but that being unreasonable may also be required when a goal seems impossible to attain.
