Scholar Spotlight: Amir Wright
Meet 🤝Amir Wright, PracticePro Law School Mastery Scholar – Stanford Law School, Class of 2023.
Question: What inspired you to pursue a legal career?
Amir: My grandfather graduated from Columbia Law School in 1970. Growing up watching him pour over court documents exposed me to what being a lawyer looked like from early on. Then as I matriculated through school, I learned that many of our problems today (the housing crisis, voter suppression, etc.) have statutory and political roots. I figured that the best way to change these things would be to change the laws around them, and that the best way to change the law was to know the law.
Question: What do you do for fun?
Amir: I love aerospace and aviation; anything that leaves the ground. I hope to one day earn my pilot's license after law school.
Question: What is your favorite quote?
Amir: "Brevity is the soul of wit" - You lose your audience when you go on for too long. Sometimes it's more effective to be concise.
