Question: Where are you working this summer?
Donovan: ACLU (National) Racial Justice Project.
Question: What practice area are you interested in?
Donovan: Criminal, Employment, and Civil Rights Law.
Question: What would you like for us to highlight about your prior work experience?
Donovan: I worked as a Research Associate concentrating on property at the Center for American Progress and as a Policy Analyst at the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality.
Question: What inspired you to pursue a legal career?
Donovan: While in college, I worked at South Carolina Legal Services -- a nonprofit legal aid firm for the poor -- for four years. Every week those attorneys were heroes for their clients, managing tough case loads yet never losing their empathy. I wanted to do the same.
Question: What do you like to do for fun?
Donovan: I love to watch tennis, especially Serena Williams and her march toward a record-breaking 24th Grand Slam title.
Question: What’s next on your bucket list?
Donovan: I think Brazil may be calling post-COVID-19.
